Automation for the food sector in Parma

The new tools for implementing safety, sustainability and efficiency in the milk processing industry.

A conference held last 30 October at Cibus Tec was dedicated to this topic, with experts from B&R giving at talk entitled “Automation to guarantee quality and hygiene in milk & dairy processing”. Also in the spirit of knowhow, the Italian subsidiary of the Austrian group (based in Passirana di Rho) presented at its stand its latest offers in automation for the food&beverage and packaging sectors.

• In the field of operator panels, for example, alongside simpler products, B&R presented its PowerPanel IP69K, available with 5.7” to 15” displays and equipped with a modern design and surface that is resistant even with frequent washing, thus making it suitable for harsh industrial conditions. Also in the catalog is the range of panels with Smart Display Link 3, for control-screen link via standard Ethernet cable, enabling flexible controls and displays even at great distances (up to 100 m).
• B&R also illustrated in Parma the brand new Automation PC 2100 and Panel PC 2100, which are very compact and modular, and which guarantee high computing power and reliable control in a very small package. These systems can be paired with screens of any size (interchangeable).

• The 8JSB stainless steel motors, for their part, in addition to satisfying EHEDG, 3A and FDA standards, boast the highest density power in their class and are proposed as a suitable solution even for the no-compromise performance required by aseptic environments. In addition to these, B&R offers the out-of-the-box solution APROL En-Mon for monitoring analysis of energy consumption and, of course, an entire range of solutions for control, display, motion, safety, etc. - including peripherals like smart sensors, vision systems and robots, completely integrated with the single development environment Automation Studio.
