Durable labels
APTIV® films made by Victrex Polymer Solutions (world-ranking producer of high performance poliarileterketons) have been successfully used by the German company S+P Samson GmbH to produce labels used in particular on medical equipment.
These are durable labels that can stand up to cleaning and sterilisation procedures using chemical systems, in autoclave or radiation based performed in hospitals and hence provide an important contribution to the effective permanent identification and monitoring of medical equipment. Capable of standing up to hundreds of cleaning and washing processes, the labels can also incorporate QR codes, enabling maximum traceability.
APTIV films, produced with Victrex® PEEK polymers, are available in thicknesses of from 6 to 750 microns, responding to FDA requisites and, thanks to their thermoplastic structure, can be simply and economically converted.
