E80 Group and Lenze The partnership for the future of intralogistics
Intralogistics automation is one of the most dynamic and rapidly expanding sectors in the current industrial landscape. The collaboration model adopted by E80 Group and Lenze has led to the development of a technological kit for the management of stacker cranes, which optimizes the performance and energy efficiency of the systems

According to data reported by Mordor Intelligence, the value of freight transport and logistics in Italy will exceed 140 billion euros, with an annual growth rate of 3.7% from 2024 to 2030.
The need to respond quickly and accurately to orders and handle increasing product volumes has accelerated the need for integrated solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce errors, which can positively impact the return on investments.
In this context, E80 Group is a crucial player in the market: it specializes in developing automated and integrated intralogistics solutions for companies producing and distributing consumer goods. Founded in Viano on the hills of Reggio Emilia, it has more than 450 integrated factories, over 2,200 robotic systems, 9,000 laser-guided vehicles of different models and numerous high-density automatic warehouses. Every day, the Group solutions handle more than 1 billion euros of products worldwide.
Advanced and connected solutions
The partnership between E80 Group and Lenze has led to the development of a unique technological kit for the management of stacker cranes. It includes i950 servo inverters with extended safety, c520 controllers, x500 for cloud connection, r750 for energy regeneration and software for access to all drive parameters.
«With Lenze, we have built over 50 automatic warehouses and around 200 stacker cranes - states Enrico Grassi, President of E80 Group - achieving two main objectives. The first is the full oscillations control with the anti-pendulum. We provide the same efficiency, precision, and safety of movement within our warehouse with stacker cranes ranging from 10 to 45 meters tall. The second is that we can recover up to 50% of the energy in the descent and braking of the stacker crane».
«We chose Lenze as a partner for the great quality, availability and flexibility shown in developing tailor-made systems for our customers» continues Grassi. «Additionally to the solutions, Lenze has provided a complete automation service, which is our flagship: for E80 Group's customers, the results achieved in pursuing common goals are a tangible sign of reliability and credibility».
The joint commitment to principles such as innovation, quality, and social responsibility strengthens the results obtained by the two companies. It paves the way for new growth opportunities and winning projects, such as future digital transformation management for transport systems.
