The flexible end-of-line of tosa group
An Italian family company, operating on the international market with the three brands, TOSA, MIMI and CMR, the company based in Santo Stefano Belbo aims at meeting the stability and safety requirements of palletised and non-palletised loads with a complete range of wrapping, shrink-wrapping and strapping machines.
Fabio Tosa, CEO with his sister, Serena Tosa and representative of the second generation, in the company since 2007, presents the company.
«We have taken forward our father’s dream: developing quality technology and machinery to guarantee efficient and safe packaging solutions. A key attraction at interpack, the robotic cell is a revolutionary project, developed for companies that aim at becoming “plastic free” in a few years, although it is appropriate to mention that producers of plastic are reducing the impact of material with a high recycled content of up to 40%.
We have, therefore followed the market trend and customer requests, searching for an alternative solution, aware of the fact that, while it is simpler to “go beyond” plastic in primary and secondary packaging, this is not the case in the tertiary sector, where the wrapping of palletised loads must always be resistant. A kraft paper by Mondi, innovative and very robust, able to guarantee the necessary stability of palletised goods, has come to our aid, and which we have worked on to obtain an even more extensible and stretchable product, favouring adaptation to the load. The result is a totally automated solution able to adapt to both types of consumables, paper and film: and this is thanks to the possibility of replacing the robot head completely automatically, ensuring full safety for the operator.».
