Nastri-Tex in the Cosmopack SMART Area

Our excursus on Industry 4.0 starts with a company in some ways anomalous in the SMART area of Cosmopack: in fact Nastri-Tex does not produce "hard" machines for manufacturing cosmetics, but provides a fundamental consumable for creating make-up and therefore essential to the success of the "packaging system" as a whole.

«In practice - explains Federico Mocchetti, Nastri-Tex key executive - we wanted to start a path of collaborative smart service integration between our technical research infrastructure and that of our customers, and with these towards the external structures they are partnered with. We have therefore not presented smart factoring solutions, but we have born witness to our commitment towards a constant search for innovative technological solutions, with the aim of providing our customers - cosmetics manufacturers - truly alternative product and service solutions. Which is why in the two-year period 2018-2019, we have planned and already partly ploughed in 750,000.00 euros in investments in new technologies, or that is 8% of our turnover.

«The purpose - continues Mocchetti - is to consolidate a smart production thanks to the use of machinery and tools integrated in the company system, inaugurating a season of greater cooperation between operators and our structure.NastriTex Lab is an example of this, with which we have started a path of smart service collaborative integration between our technical research infrastructure and that of our customers and with these towards the external structures  they are partnered with. All this with a constantly keen eye to sustainable development, also thinking of smart energy. «In fact, for around 60% of the non-exploitable materials we produce we find alternative uses to disposal, as part of our circular economy project».

In actual fact, on the occasion of the 2019 edition of Cosmopack, Nastri-Tex wished to present a new product/service, unique in its kind, which shows how the  company has adopted the concept of smart factory to the advantage of the cosmetics industry: «The search for innovative materials, combined with the technological developments of our factory, has in fact created the conditions for the birth of TechMix^®: two or more compacting ribbons that run jointly, combining and enhancing the technical characteristics of both, with a performance advantage that cannot be achieved otherwise».
