RFID and thereabouts
Ensure inventory accuracy, safeguard items difficult to protect, achieve sustainability goals and deliver a high quality customer experience are just some of the priorities of retailers around the world.
Tyco Retail Solutions has responded to these needs with multichannel solutions adopted globally by customers such as Zara, Macy’s, Chico’s TJX ... with the aim of offering real competitive added value.
In 2014 the provider of integrated safety and retail performance solutions completed the largest RFID implementation at the global level, for the customer Inditex Group, which now has a real-time visibility of inventory, with all the economic and strategic advantages derived. What is more it also presented new hard tags, designed to protect higher risk items (wines and spirits, high-heeled shoes) in the self-service stores, without compromising the shopping experience.
Also last year, Tyco launched the first mobile EAS deactivator on the market, ensured the availability of performance and iOS operations reporting on the TrueVue platform and, last but not least, Tyco received several awards for innovative implementations and “green” initiatives. Among these, the most important has resulted in a pioneering program of recirculation of labels, which involved more than one billion pieces with significant savings both in the purchase of tags as well as the disposal phase, winning the company a Green Supply Chain Award.
