Ultrasonic zipper sealing: durable and precise

Herrmann Ultraschall  ZSM, a modular system for continuous ultrasonic zipper sealing on flat-bottom pouches and tubular bags, in plastic (also in mono-material) and paper-based composite materials.

The ZSM module has a small footprint, is hygienic and ensures uniform sealing results at variable processing speeds. This is made possible by the optimized interaction with the ULTRAPACK ultrasonic generator, which was specially designed for high-speed packaging applications and enables reproducible adjustment of the sealing process.

As already mentioned, the ZSM module enables continuous sealing. Due to the heat generation directly and exclusively at the sealing joint, the ultrasonic sealing process is particularly gentle on the materials. Unlike what happens with other types of welding, the material does not stick to the sonotrodes, almost completely eliminating the need for cleaning.
