Energy drinks boom pushes up Red Bull’s sales to €5.5 billion

Last year the Austrian energy drink producer Red Bull posted the best results in its history.

In 2018, the company sold 6.79 billion cans worldwide (+7.7%) generating revenue of €5.5 billion. Exports surged in India (+30%), Brazil (+22%) and Eastern Europe (+22%), but also grew strongly in Germany (+12%) and Northern Europe.

In addition to the energy drink, the “Organics by Red Bull” line (Cola, Ginger Ale, Tonic Water and Bitter Lemon) produced with completely natural ingredients made a strong contribution to the increase in sales, encouraging Red Bull to expand the segment.
