Nestlé Waters North America announces pledge to use recycled plastic

Nestlé Waters North America (NWNA), a North American business unit of the Swiss food giant, has announced that by 2021 it will achieve at least 25% recycled plastic use across its product portfolio with the aim of reaching 50% by 2025.

To achieve this, Nestlé Waters has strengthened its partnership with Canadian firm Plastrec, a company that recycles PET to produce rPET.

In early 2018, it unveiled a new 100% rPET Nestlé Pure Life bottle, the latest in a series of initiatives aimed at raising awareness amongst consumers and other major players of virtuous practices for a more sustainable future.
