Robots for all tastes
Stäubli has established itself as a benchmark in the food industry thanks to a specific range of articulated robots fully qualified to meet the stringent sector demands.
Stäubli robots have been for years a point of reference for the operations in which not only the speed and precision of the robot were considered crucial, but also the emission of particles, the easy-to-clean surfaces and the maximum reliability.
Bakery and patisserie products, confectionery, meat/fish, dairy products, frozen foods, fruits/vegetables, filling of pots/jars, blending, cutting, handling, labeling, packaging and palletizing: whatever the product or process, the customers can choose the model and decide the dedicated version that best meets their hygiene requirements.
The SCARA TS (CR Class 6 with protective bellows) have ± 0.01 mm repeatability and are ideal for many applications due to their smooth easy-to-clean surface (1).
The 6-axis TX and RX stand out for their completely closed (easy to clean) design with internal cabling and drive technology integrated (standard in cleanroom ISO 5, ISO 4 in CR and ISO 2 SCR version). Especially popular in the food industry are the TX 6 axes in the HE version max load 130 kg (2). The designation HE (humid environment) identifies Stäubli robot models that have been modified for use in humid environments and withstand cleaning operations carried out even several times a day, something which would condemn any standard robot.
The Picker TP80, more than 200 strokes/min (3), inspires new ideas in primary and secondary packaging. TP80 has redefined the concept of the robot at high speeds, the eye has trouble keeping up with its highly rapid sequences. A 4-axis, it can work in large work spaces with a maximum diameter of 1.6 m and a repeatability of ± 0.05mm. Even after hours of work, there is no loss of precision and its rigid structure prevents wear caused by continuous operation. Stäubli TP80 can operate with food oil, making it ideal for packing/sorting naked food products.
LINEmanager flow sharing software, makes TP80 an all round solution. This tool is designed for the management of complex operations on lines with 1 or more robots where only a 100% reliable solution for collection/sorting and packing may be appropriate. LINEmanager manages the line synchronization by coordinating the speed of the robot and the conveyor belts.
