RI-MOVE, environmentally friendly technology
Arconvert and Ritrama (Fedrigoni Group) have developed a series of self-adhesive materials that meet strict recycling and reuse requirements for glass and PET containers.
RI-MOVE Glass in film and paper are suitable for returnable glass containers; thanks to the AR816 and WR40 adhesives, designed to stay adhered t to the label, they ensure quick release without releasing any residue or contaminant in the washing system.
The AR842 adhesive of RI-MOVE PET also detaches from the PET flakes without leaving any residue, allowing the polypropylene label fragments to float in the hot alkaline bath during industrial washing. The German institute Cyclos, HTP has certified its full compatibility with the recycling of PET bottles.
An all-new make-up in glass
Lumson (primary cosmetic packaging for skincare and make-up) launches I-Conic and Marylin, two new glass foundation bottles with a refined design. The first one stands out for its elegant, slender and conical shape, with a thick bottom and rounded corners. Marylin, on the other hand, is characterised by its oval shape that emphasises the color of the product inside the bottle. The two new solutions enrich the range of Lumson glass containers, which offers over 33 bottles in numerous sizes (from 15 ml to 50 ml), all customisable with various finishes and decorations.
Green Bag for fresh salads
Among the major Italian producers of fresh and ready-to-eat fruit and vegetable products, La Linea Verde presents “Un Sacco Green”, a range of DimmidiSì brand fresh salads now packaged in biodegradable and compostable bags. The result of an all-Italian collaboration between the producer and an industrial chain of excellence (Novamont, Ticinoplast and Carton Pack), the bags are made from raw materials of vegetable origin to be recycled in the organic fraction of waste.
The film consists of layers of different types of Novamont’s Mater-Bi, selected to engineer a packaging solution with the right mechanical characteristics of rigidity and toughness, but also to facilitate runnability on the packaging lines and maintain the seal strength for the entire life of the product. Printable with compostable inks, the envelopes have a milky colour appearance which, on the one hand, communicates to the consumer the different end of life of the packaging and, on the other hand, maintains the necessary transparency to show its contents.
