Paola Lucarelli, Behind the cover ItaliaImballaggio 05/2023

Paola Lucarelli was born in 1965 in Milan, where she lives, studies and works. After scientific high school and graphics school, in 1984 she became the assistant of painter Augusto Garau.

Always an active participant in the city’s artistic and cultural scene, she deals with all aspects of graphics for famous brands in the textiles field (Marzotto, Gabel, Frette), luxury hotels (Lungarno Hotels, Soft Living Places, Starhotels) tourism (iGrandiViaggi), but also niche brands in different sectors: food, interior design, fashion, publishing…

She studies and develops brands, logotypes and advertising for them and many others; she takes care of the coordinated image, designing packaging and the layout of catalogue, brochures and magazines.

Motivated by a keen interest in the changing world of communication, she works on the design of websites and on exhibition stands.

She began to paint in 2020 because «I like doing it - Lucarelli says with a certain candour - and I’m always surprised by what appears». The taste for meticulous research of the particular emerges from her works, while the sophisticated choices of colours are able to temper emotions, evoking ethereal natural and mental landscapes. In February 2023 “Anamorfosi del presente” was displayed in the Museo Teo in the Fabbrica del Vapore exhibition in Milan.
