ItaliaImballaggio’s view of Cibus Tec 2023: Arol - Unimac Gherri

Cibus Tec 2023 was the stage for the presentation of a solution, uniting the excellence of Arol in capping systems with that of Unimac Gherri in piston fillers.

This is the new monoblock designed for squeezable plastic containers, equipped with a heat-sealed aluminum seal, as Nicola Bolognesi, area manager of Unimac Gherri, explains:

«The advantage of the machine is the completeness of the process, from the filling to the capping of the containers, avoiding the problem of their instability, and reaching a speed range of 6000 to 7000 pieces/h».

The machine is made in AISI 316/316L stainless steel for the parts in contact with the product and is equipped with a series of devices such as electric regulators for dosage and container height, options such as cleaning and extraction of the piston, a laminar flow hood to isolate non-contaminated areas in the machine, and installation of WIP (wash in place) for a 95% wash of the machine.

«The monoblock is the first integration project between the two brands, Bolognesi continues - and, thanks to the specific expertise of the two companies, it has been possible to develop it entirely within the Group. We are targeting, first and foremost, the North and South American market with this new integrated filling and capping solution: this has led, for example, to the decision to use an Allen Bradley PLC, which is standard for those areas. This does not, however, prevent a customer from choosing other automation suppliers in the design phase».
