DD WRAP

What is it. DD Wrap is the innovative solution with a simple and versatile design to satisfy the requests of retailers and Fast - Moving Consumer Goods customers. Designed and manufactured to minimize the use of resources and reduce waste, DD Wrap is a single piece without front perforations designed to offer better product display and to create a valuable shopper experience.

Accessibility focus. Easy to open: Once DD WRAP arrives at the point of sale the box is prepared for display. The operator separates the lower section from the upper section using the die-cut on the rear panel (the packaging can be opened without the aid of sharp tools). Once opened, the product is ready to be placed on the shelf, ensuring clean display and allowing a quality shopper experience.

Manufacturing material. Corrugated carboard.

Technology. Production process: flatbed die-cutters / rotary die-cutter. Print type: flexo, offset, digital.

Design. DD WRAP is a mono-piece packaging solution which, thanks to the absence of perforations on the visible sides, allows companies in the FMCG sector to be totally compliant with the guidelines of big retailers who require clean display at the point of sale to guarantee the final consumer a good shopper experience. With the DD WRAP design, the product can be inserted horizontally into the packaging line, continue to travel in this position, but be displayed vertically at the point of sale. Thanks to this feature, the risk of damage to crumbly products (e.g. biscuits), or of "slipping" for sliced products (e.g. cheeses, cured meats and sausages displayed in slices at the point of sale) is reduced to a minimum, and the probability of non-sale due to "damaged product" is limited.

Sustainability. Recyclable material. Production and assembly efficiency: the fact of being a mono-piece offers possible production and supply chain savings for both the customer and DS Smith itself, reducing the environmental impact of the solutions put on the market as only one step is necessary of conversion for the transformation of the box. Supply Chain Optimisation: The design of DD WRAP allows to optimize the squaring of the box by reducing it to a minimum and to have greater flexibility in managing the quantities of product per box and per pallet, with a consequent improvement in the environmental impact linked to the optimization of the Supply Chain.
