In the beautiful and inspiring setting of Dallara Academy, a symbol ef excellence of Emilia's Motor Valley, Markem-Imaje - global provider of end-to-end supply chain solutions and industrial marking and coding systems - presented to partners the newest laser in the marking and coding industry: the 5-watt SmartLase® UV500 UV laser.

SmartLase® UV500, whose global launch has been announced, builds on three decades of Markem-Imaje's experience in laser technology and ensures more accurate, high-quality coding on challenging materials. With the added advantage of minimal heat transfer, it is perfectly suited for high-density and delicate materials, including hard plastics, recyclable films, metal and glass.

SmartLase® UV500 is able to quickly perform coding useful for traceability, including advanced text messages, logos and complex 2D codes. This new powerful and robust UV laser is designed to provide unprecedented marking performance for fast and demanding applications.

SmartLase® UV500 is virtually maintenance-free and allows operating expenses (OPEX) to be minimised through reduced downtime and no additional cost for consumables or external cooling solutions. In addition, chemical-free production helps companies meet sustainability compliance goals by generating indelible codes that protect against counterfeiting.
