Valco Melton, melt-on-demand technology for maximum productivity
With Kube Zero, efficiency, reliability and safety in adhesive application

Valco Melton’s new melt-on-demand system has been engineered to set a fresh benchmark in the packaging industry, delivering a direct impact on production performance thanks to enhanced productivity, efficiency and workplace safety.
Key advantages
The ten independent outlets enable multiple applicators to be supplied with no risk of feed issues. Designed for automated environments and offering a melting capacity of 13 kg per hour, the melt-on-demand technology melts only the adhesive required at any given moment. An automatic feeding system preserves all adhesive properties, preventing carbonisation caused by prolonged residence time in the tank. The system reduces the operator’s intervention, boosting productivity through automated refilling and eliminating the risk of the unit running empty due to oversight or adhesive pellets being spilled on the floor.
Start-up time is a critical factor for any melter: production cannot begin until the adhesive reaches the correct temperature and viscosity. Kube Zero cuts start-up time by 65%, directly increasing line productivity.
New monoblock design
A single compact structure integrates the tank, pump and manifold. Made from anodised aluminium and finished with a non-stick coating, it ensures even heat distribution. The compact design developed by the engineers maximises melting efficiency, optimises available space and minimises the risk of leakage. Valco Melton’s in-house component manufacturing fosters agility and innovation, creating synergies and reducing the impact of supply-chain fluctuations.
Ease of maintenance
A key driver in the development of Kube Zero, the new joint-free design with no parts requiring manual handling simplifies operations and reduces maintenance times, thanks to rapid access to components from the front of the unit.
Safety
Kube Zero incorporates a new insulating material that keeps external surfaces below 45°C, reducing the risk of burns and improving energy efficiency. Unlike conventional insulation, these materials do not deteriorate over time, ensuring long-term protection. The unit is also equipped with a new HEPA filter to capture oil vapours and further enhance workplace safety.
“The new Kube Zero”, says Gonzalo Marco, European General Manager, “improves productivity with a cost-effective solution for our customers”.
