Digital Integration is transforming traditional production environments into software-defined, open and intelligent ecosystems. To address the need to digitalise automation processes and reduce complexity, SEW-EURODRIVE has developed OrchestrationSuite, a web-based platform designed to simplify software management and deployment in industrial automation systems.

The solution provides a single interface for controlling PLCs, robots and multi-vendor drives, reducing lead times, complexity and operational risks while delivering a range of benefits. These include secure and controlled remote access, version tracking of PLC code across different vendors, and the translation of PLC code into human-readable language. In the event of an error or cyberattack, the system can also reduce software recovery times from the hours typically required to just a few minutes.

OrchestrationSuite is a key enabler for the transition towards a fully software-defined factory, while its IIoT integration supports continuous performance monitoring. This approach can deliver an increase in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of 10–15%, thanks to predictive maintenance and intelligent self-diagnostics. Among its advantages is also the use of artificial intelligence to translate PLC code into plain language, reducing training time and knowledge transfer between programmers by 40%.
