Cosmopack: A planned development
The present and near future of the event dedicated to the beauty supply chain. Antonia Benvegnù, Cosmopack Manager, tells about the growth strategies that affect the fair format, which has become an appreciated international brand.

Cosmopack is growing both in terms of visitors and exhibiting companies: what are the plans for the next editions in Bologna?
In 2020, Cosmopack will host more than 500 exhibitors from around 30 countries, a figure that confirms the positive trend of the event.
During the last editions we have considerably increased the presence of international leaders... A fact, this, which has consecrated Cosmopack as a reference event at world level, and has attracted an ever increasing number of visitors, up to 26,000 in 2019.
An important growth, which forced us to adjust the offer of exhibition space: for this reason, in addition to pavilions 20, 15, 15A and 18, the 19PK area is growing at Cosmopack 2020, a section of hall 19 that houses the manufacturers of process machinery and cosmetic packaging.
In pavilion 20 there will still be exhibitors specialized in formulation and packaging, but this is a temporary solution.
Since 2021 we expect to bring together the entire sector dedicated to machinery in a single pavilion.
We will therefore implement a strategy aimed at optimizing the visit routes, and will proceed with an increasingly marked division between the different specialties of the supply chain.
In this perspective, Pavilion 15 will continue to be a showcase for the major international producers and Hall 18 will still offer a wide range of OEM and packaging solutions.
The beauty supply chain is now also a protagonist at events abroad on the Cosmoprof platform: what are the results of the first editions and what are the future projects?
We have gradually introduced an area dedicated to the production chain in all the Cosmoprof brand events, because one of the main features of our format is precisely that of bringing together the entire cosmetics industry in a single exhibition so as to facilitate networking and business. with finished product brands.
In Hong Kong, this process led Cosmopack Asia to occupy an entire fairground, the AsiaWorld-Expo.
Last July, on the other hand, we launched Cosmopack North America, as a natural continuation of a steady growth in the area dedicated to supply chain companies. This event is characterized by the interest shown by the so-called "indie brands" that characterize the West Coast of the United States and by the opportunities offered - thanks to its strategic positioning - by the markets of Canada and Mexico.
At Cosmoprof India and, from 2020, also in Bangkok, we will invest in the supply chain, involving international leaders and local suppliers and dedicating specific areas, to the point of developing a project entirely aimed at this sector of the industry in the particular host market.
The journey of Cosmopack therefore continues!
