Coffee capsule filling: new standards in productivity
Tecmes has recently developed a production program that illustrates the unwavering and passionate search for perfection of this company, which is based in Vaiano Cremasco (CR).
It is a platform of machines that fill coffee/soluble product capsules and are marked by unique and innovative features that guarantee unprecedented performance advantages. Firstly, machine output can be increased without additional costs to the user or additional equipment. Another advantage consists in drastically reduced energy costs per capsule produced, the lowest ever achieved with this production process.
The Tecmes system employs a latest-generation rotary indexing table with mechanical cam motions syncrhonized between rotation and manipulation. The capsules are not placed tangentially to the table but ordered radially, and this peculiarity in the construction of a key step in the filling process is what makes possible a series of advantages that enable enhancing the productivity of each machine: a shorter tangential travel distance and resulting increase in the number of operational stations, the possibility of adjusting the speed and productivity of machine cycles, a more resistant modified atmosphere during nitrogen injection and a more stable product (coffee or other soluble) within the capsule during displacement.
These rotary machines can be installed on up to 48 stations, each one with 4 or 6 capsule housings, at an average speed of 60 bpm (which can be increased as needed), reaching a rate of productivity of 240 to 480 capsules/min, at no additional cost to the user.
