A fully automatic palletiser
Lancia Srl (Fiorano Modenese, MO) has built a compact high productivity palletizer for the end-of-line of an important company in the confectionery sector.
Fully automatic, it has a portal structure with two infeed, accumulation and pick-up belts to bring the product to the palletizing area. In addition, a dividing sheet placer, this too automatic, is managed with the suction cups from the same grippers, further optimizing the functionality of the machine.
When fully loaded, the palletizer transits outside on an idle roller conveyor, to enable retrieval by themselves operator. The empty pallet storage is loaded by hand, while the empty pallet transition cycle within the work area is automatic and motorized.
Sensitivity and speed. The compact size and high productivity (26 pieces/minute) together zero format adjustment times, make this machine very fast despite the lightness of the product handled, to which the producer has paid special attention. Having to handle tray cartons, this palletizer has delicate movements to avoid damage, at the same time maintaining high speed thanks to the use of the double grippers. The Lancia’s output features highly developed electronics: its latest machines are equipped with a system of high performance motion for both the PLC and the motors, which increase performance and efficiency, while keeping costs low. In particular, the motion technique used ideal for the management of structural deflections and oscillations, obtaining high work cycles without stressing the machinery, thus ensuring longer maintenance cycles.
