Paperboard flying high

Airlines like paperboard: it is lightweight but strong, can be coated to achieve a barrier effect and finished with elegance; it is also eco-friendly.

For this reason Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has introduced a new thermal container for meals served in SAS Plus class made in wood pulp Incada Iggesund paperboard.
The choice therefore was determined by many factors, to which other equally determining ones were added: the food must have a pleasant appearance; the tray must be convenient to handle, easy to open and of course preserve the appearance and taste of the food until the end of the meal.

SAS assessed the overall quality of the material paying particular attention aboveall to its visual effect, influenced by the ability to color the substrate, the coated surface and a positive shared perception.
The Swedish converter Elanders (in Italy with direct offices at  Ponzano Veneto, TV) has created a stylish package, with the interior covered with black PE, closed by a transparent lid, able to let the steam transpire, thus ensuring the best visual impact.
