This controller comes with an on-board profinet interface to ensure maximum accessibility and connection with other automation devices. In addition, based on a modular structure, it allows great flexibility and scalability of configuration.

Nearly two times more compact than its S7-200 predecessor, the new devices offers higher performance. But the benefits are not only hardware related, since the programming is simpler and more intuitive thanks to the use of TIA Portal, with the integration of HMI features management and thanks to functions and special libraries.

A smart solution, therefore, advantageous from the economic point of view, which finds its highest application in the configuration with the Sinamics S110, the single-axis drive designed to handle brushless motors.

The Starter parameterization tool allows rapid commissioning and optimization of the axis, providing a very detailed diagnostics through the oscilloscope function. Positioner, integrated safety, easy motion control function, the native web server in the CPU and PID control are just a few examples of the features provided by this leading-edge concept product. The compact layout of this architecture makes it a perfect tool for use on packaging machines, notably thermoforming-, food processing and end-of-line machines.
