DCM’s chairman, Alessandro Casiraghi outlines the latest developments.

DCM has operated in industrial packaging right from its foundation, developing technological and personalised solutions for businesses in very different goods sectors. It is, however, thanks to its specialisation in “folded paper” – its historic core business – that DCM has developed unique experience in the pharmaceutical field, as well as profound knowledge of the world of papermaking and graphic arts.

The continuous search for innovative and sustainable solutions

The know-how acquired, together with uncommon R&D capabilities, have opened the way to the design of new packaging solutions, adapted to the evolution of the market in a sustainable direction. The tendency is, in fact, towards the use of recyclable materials in the production of packaging, a need that DCM’s solutions have been well able to meet, together with the design of ad hoc automatic systems for dispensing and transporting products.

«DCM, in fact, not only “represent” paper folding – explains the president, Alessandro Casiraghi but also dispensing and transport. We have, therefore, transferred our packaging expertise also to the dispensation of products to increase the efficiency and productivity of our customers’ lines ».

Strategic partnerships for responding to the market: Kraus’s Brava line

DCM, with the collaboration of the German company, Kraus, has studied a targeted and specific solution to create a new concept cardboard tray, designed to contain vials, syringes, small bottles and other products typical of the pharmaceutical sector, without forgetting applications in food & beverages.

«The machines in the new Brava range are characterised by flexibility and integration, able to guarantee the efficiency of lines» chairman Casiraghi continues. «We have invested in research and development to obtain automatic systems which are unique in their kind, to offer to companies that believe strongly in green packaging».

An essential element for pharma: labels

The Labeljack system stands out among the latest proposals for special processing, particularly for labelling, characterized by a high cycle speed, its predisposition to industry 4.0 and the management of labels of different formats.

«Among the numerous processes developed for special lines – chairman Casiraghi explains – labelling systems play a crucial role, especially considering the high level of personalisation that they can offer. Thanks to Labeljack’s integrated control, it’s possible to define settings such as language, interface and memory of label format. Operating and warning messages are displayed on the multi-touch colour display. Thanks to its exclusive blocking mechanism and simplicity of use, easy handling and maximum precision and dynamics are guaranteed ».
