The vacuum process becomes automatic

Tags

Conveyor Map is the new technology developed by the Vicenza-based company BMB for its vacuum or modified atmosphere packaging systems, now able to operate automatically, tripling average productivity and reducing production times (from a minute to around 20 seconds) guaranteeing, at the same time, absolute processing quality and safety.

The first and unique of its kind, the functioning of the innovative packaging involves the assembly of nozzles to be inserted in the packages in order to create the vacuum and to release the gas mixtures that prevents the proliferation of micro bacteria directly on the conveyor belt. In this way, it is the product that moves, thereby reducing loading times.Every machine can have 16 stations on a conveyor belt of around 2 metres; this implies that 4 or 5 nozzles are available for every loading station.

The asynchronous drum motor, which, together with the belt, plays an important role in moving the product, is fitted with Interroll (DM138 model), and is coated in highly hygienic NBR rubber with IP69K protection level. The development of the new application has required two and a half years of research and is particularly suitable for vacuum-packing in the food sector (baked products, fresh pasta, also filled, piadinas, pizzas and all those products that are packed in ATM bags), but is also suitable for the electrical components, pharmaceutical and medical industries.
