From over 30 years, Delta Service Automation, located in Vaprio D’adda in the heart of the Italian Cosmetic Valley, has been offering customers the most advanced solutions in terms of labelling systems. During the years the company added to the core business (labelling system production) different ranges of product such as marking solutions, lotting solutions, products moving solutions, packaging solutions and any kind of process which allows a better identification of the product and the label along the supply chain. More inclusive, sustainable, safe: how is the cosmetic product/packaging changing, also in the light of new consumer trends, which put in the foreground wellness and self-care?

«Delta Service takes environmental issues to heart. Not only has it undertaken a series of investments aimed at sustainability, switching to photovoltaics and installing the latest generation of machinery with low energy consumption. It is also moving towards the customer base, proposing the use of sustainable materials in packaging, with reels of bioplastic film derived from cellulose and certified for Home & Industry compostability. But also reels of paper with level A recyclability».

General supply difficulties, significant increases in freight rates, raw material and energy prices: how are you coping with these problems?

«The last year has been difficult, both because of the delay in supplying raw materials and because of the increase in raw materials themselves, to which a significant increase in energy costs has been added. We have tried as much as possible not to weigh on the final costs to the customer but the current situation has forced us to proceed with some mark-ups to absorb costs, lengthening the delivery time of machinery».
