Fabbri Hybrid wrapping machine for fresh produce

Gruppo Fabbri is launching Fabbri Hybrid, the new range of high productivity wrapping machines available in the three models Automac Dual, Automac Industrial and Automac Ultra.

These three solutions are designed for packaging fresh and very fresh produce using all types of stretch film in both neutral and printed formats (PVC-based, PE-based, bio-based and compostable film). The new range marks a breakthrough for the world of packaging as it resolves the issues of changing the film to meet customer requirements. The option of having a single wrapping machine capable of handling multiple types of film allows for uninterrupted operation without the need for technical adaptations and above all without additional costs.

The Hybrid series is also designed to ensure high-quality packaging even with alternative non-proprietary films that combine low thickness and high performance. For optimal end-of-life management of packaging materials, the company recently launched the Nature Fres certified compostable film which can be disposed of directly in the household compost bin without generating packaging waste. The Elixa series wrapping machines will soon also join the Fabbri Hybrid family.

The project has been recognised by the EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
