Goglio for the coffee market: versatile lines and sustainable materials

Coffee is one of the most important market sectors for the Group, world leader in the flexible packaging field with over 170 years of experience.

Among the most recent innovations introduced by Goglio there are the packs made with green materials, available in a wide range of formats. These are multilayer single-material laminates produced entirely with polyethylene or polypropylene, with high barrier properties thanks to their composition and to the application of Goglio’s exclusive lacquer. These packages can guarantee the same performance as traditional materials and, where possible, can be disposed of in modern recycling facilities for plastic waste.

Packaging solutions and complete packaging systems

Among the packaging lines for coffee - both ground and beans – produced by Goglio, the G18 model is an extremely versatile solution with a wide range of dosing systems and packaging formats available, suitable for the most diverse customer needs. G18 is a VFFS (Vertical Form/Fill/Seal) automatic line, small in size, also ideal for flour, rice, pet food and powdered detergents.

The system also features a fully integrated Goglio degassing valve application station, suitable for different types of valves. In addition, for better product presentation, the line can also perform partial vacuum, sucking air from the top of the pack.

Appealing packaging and machinability

The G18 is also compatible with a wide range of materials, including recyclable and compostable ones. Among other solutions, the BLOCK BAG® is particularly worth mentioning: a pack that combines the appeal of a flat-bottom bag with automatic packaging starting from reel.

Characterized by all the sealed edges, both on the sides and at the base, this pack guarantees perfect stability, and thanks to the shape, its four sides can be used for marketing activities. As for services, a fundamental aspect that completes and enriches Goglio’s offer, the line can be connected to the Goglio MIND remote monitoring system, which allows connection between all the processes upstream and downstream of the packaging machine to optimize its efficiency and components’ maintenance.
