High quality components with 3D printing

Original workings and finishings for additive manufacturing with the ProX® SLS 6100 by 3D Systems printer. Weerg’s word.

Gardigiano (VE), May 2019. Created in 2015 from an idea by Matteo Rigamonti, Weerg is an Italian company that - through the weerg.com platform - simply and quickly produces parts in CNC or 3D printing starting from 3D CAD files, using the best available technologies.

Thus, after having achieved in 2018, the largest installation in southern Europe of HP Jet Fusion 4210 printers for 3D Printing, today it further strengthens its additive manufacturing department, adding the 3D Systems ProX ® SLS 6100 printer to the machines in operation.
Based on the most advanced selective laser sintering (SLS) technology, this system - operating in Weerg since June - is ideal for the production of functional and resistant parts in nylon and enables high quality components to be obtained at the price of prototypes, with high print speeds and a particularly fast and efficient production process.
In addition, the white base of the pieces made with ProX® SLS 6100 allows Weerg to offer new finishes that can be made with the already installed Girbau coloring systems, significantly expanding the range of colors selectable by the customer already in the order phase.

«We were looking for a solution that would allow us to add more colors to our 3D prints, currently available only in raw Gray, Extra Black™ Classic and Extra Black™ as well as SemiGloss», says Matteo Rigamonti.
«The consolidated technology offered by ProX® SLS 6100, the wide range of easily colored white materials and the combination with DyeMansion DM60 have convinced us since the first tests carried out, not only for the excellence of the performances, but also for the reliability and the know-how guaranteed by the selfsame 3D Systems».
Another exclusive plus of the system implemented by Weerg, the wide range of very high performance materials developed by 3D Systems, to optimize the performance of laser sintering, such as the DuraForm® ProX HST Composite, chosen by Weerg precisely to start production with ProX® SLS 6100. It is a fiber-reinforced engineering plastic that combines excellent levels of rigidity and thermal resistance and is particularly suitable for the construction of structural elements, housings, coverings, covers, knobs, handles, masks, internal equipment and components for the automotive industry.
