Integrated, Intelligent, Interactive

Omron Electronics will be at SPS Italy (Pad. 2  stand K026-L026) with a
with a new layout and an offer of products organized in three thematic areas:
• Integration - the connected factory, or how to connect the machine automation to the company IT system;
• intelligence - the Smart Factory (how to collect and use data related to devices, production processes and product quality);
• interactivity - collaborative factory to improve the man-machine interaction, where technological development is aimed to build new relationships between people and machines, by adapting the machine to the human partner.

Focus on
Device communication via I/O Link, EtherCat  and EthernetIP

The communication standards supported by Omron devices have been expanded to provide the best performance and ease of use for a wider range of products. In addition to the EtherCAT network for high-speed communication in the field of motion and the EthernetIP network already widely used, Omron has introduced the master I/O-link for NX-IO and IP67 models, as well as for the IO-Link sensors. The setting of parameters, as well as device status information and its performance can be collected and exchanged, laying the foundation for fast changeovers as well as for process analysis and predictive maintenance activities.

Sysmac, the platform that integrates control, programming and data collection
It provides customers with complete control and programming of the machine devices, integrated safety as well as high-speed motion and robotics. The NX7 controller - the flagship model within the Sysmac platform -  simultaneously runs high precision motion control and ultra-fast processing of data largescale. By focusing on the future of the sophisticated production facilities that use the internet of things (IoT), we developed this integrated controller to provide users with a scalability that goes beyond previous controls and PLC.

And more...
Omron also offers a new generation of IPCs and touchscreen interfaces, a full range of compact components specially developed to save space in control cabinets, uninterruptable power supply (UPS) to protect against data loss.

In the Know How 4.0 thematic area Omron offers an integrated solution for  serialization, picking and transportation via Lynx autonomous intelligent vehicles (AIV) .
Lynx is a robot vehicle designed by Adept for the transport of materials in sectors ranging from manufacturing to healthcare, storage and that of semiconductors. Unlike traditional AGVs, the Lynx systems do not require changes to the system. The robot is able to move autonomously, avoiding obstacles, and automatically selecting the optimum path to complete the activity.
