Investing and producing the state of the art
A wide selection of Control Techniques and Leroy-Somer products will be available at SPS.
During the past 12 months, the two organizations - both Emerson business units - have opened a joint facility to support their activities in the drives, motors and automation sector. The new regional engineering center in Oradea, Romania, covers a surface area of 21,000 m2 and represents a standout example among many investments made by the two concerns, laying the groundwork for the Emerson Group to enter a new field of services and solutions.
In particular, Control Techniques is expanding its offer of available formats for its Unidrive M and Powerdrive F300 lines of variable speed converters and drives, offering even greater flexibility for creating compact and reliable high power solutions.
Connected in parallel, Unidrive M drives can control asynchronous motors and permanent magnet motors of up to 2.8 MW, while the Powerdrive F300 line offers the same modular design for executing applications dedicated to driving fans, pumps and compressors with powers ranging from 90 kW to 2.8 MW.
These variable speed drives are perfectly adapted for controlling the entire range of Leroy-Somer motors, including those with reduction gear and integrated brake.
