ItaliaImballaggio’s view of Cibus Tec 2023: Etipack

Part of the PID - Possehl Identification Solutions - division of the Possehl Group since 2019, Etipack has renewed its presence at Cibus Tec, presenting the Stick Evo automatic print-&-apply machine, which prints labels in real time and applies them directly onto the surface of moving boxes and products.

«It’s a versatile and modular solution, begins Paolo Gorla, Etipack sales director Italy – created as an evolution of our labelling machines, on which we have integrated the XDM print engine supplied by Novexx (controlled by the Posshel Group), a print module able to adapt to most production lines, as well as all print-&-apply machines produced by Etipack and otherwise.

Also new is the powerful thermal transfer printer with biprocessor electronics, which guarantees high-level performances: high-quality printing (300 dpi) at a speed of up to 400 mm/s and extensive production autonomy, thanks to the use of thermal transfer ribbon reels of a length of up to 600 metres.

Maximum precision and efficiency also in the application process, thanks to the applicator pad with pneumatic cylinder with reduced air consumption, which blows the label onto the box or moving products (the system is also available, however, in a contact version).

In essence, the new proposal is similar to the classic Stick, but is its sustainable evolution, thanks to the saving of energy with regards to the management of the motor and to the device that regulates the consumption of the ribbons (ribbon saver), without temperature overloads and providing only the current strictly necessary. The result is the same print quality with lower consumption».
