Lidding film withstands sterilisation

Grazie allo strato di resina sigillante DuPont™ Appeel® la nuova pellicola di copertura rimovibile di B-Pack offre un elevato effetto barriera e può essere applicata direttamente sui vassoi rigidi di PP.

Thanks to the DuPont™ Appeel® containing sealing layer, B-Pack’s newly developed high barrier peel-seal lidding film structure seals directly to PP trays. The film can withstand steam sterilisation temperatures in the food and medical industry (up to 134 °C for 6 min or 121°C for 20 min), is highly transparent, thinner than traditional structures without compromising in puncture resistance, reliably seals through fat and grease contamination, and provides smooth and consistent opening characteristics.

Typical applications include rigid packaging of ready meals for microwave heating as well as flexible packaging of pharmaceuticals and medical instruments.
