New V-Drive® gearhead is quiet and efficient
For the packaging sector, which requires high dynamicity and power density, robustness and reduced bulk, Wittenstein offers a variety of solutions, including the V-Drive® worm gearhead.
The range has been expanded with new additions available since January 2017: the new V-Drive Basic, developed with optimized adjustments for endurance running. The exclusive geometry and special cogs of V-Drive Basic guarantee not only high speed but also high efficiency. It is also extremely quiet, with 65 db(A) at full power and just 50 db(A) at medium speeds.
This worm gearhead is currently available in two formats (050 and 063). A 040 model will soon be added, with two base outputs (hollow shaft and full shaft), five reduction ratios from i=7 to i=40, and torsional backlash of ≤ 8 arcmin. Starting in April, the series will be further expanded with two more lines. V-Drive Value and V-Drive Advanced will replace V-Drive Entry Level and V-Drive+, respectively, in an update compatible with previous versions, but offering superior torque and reduced torsional backlash.
WITTENSTEIN AG means innovation, precision and excellence in mechatronics. The German Group has approximately 1900 employees in 60 locations across 40 different countries, and is made up of 8 divisions that bring together “under one roof” the main mechatronic drive technologies: reduced play epicycloidal reducers, orthogonal servo-reducers, rotary and linear servo-actuators, servo systems, miniaturized servo-units, toothing technology, electronic components and software and medical technology.
