Sun Chemical at interpack 2017

With the slogan "Brighter Ideas for Packaging", Sun Chemical, a member of DIC Group, will be bringing to Interpack (Hall 7A, stand C06) cutting-edge, innovative and creative packaging solutions, from concept to consumer, able to play a key role in promoting the success of products and brands. Five distinct areas of the stand (Consumer Protection, World of Color, Lightweighting, Food Waste and Consumer Experience) will correspond to this proposal.

To protect the consumer. Sun Chemical offers a range of solutions for the protection of trademarks, including infrared inks that react to UV, infrared tagging systems integrated inside spot colors or varnishes, hidden images embedded in the design of existing packaging and authentication via smartphone.

For the world of color.
To help brand owners to achieve a global consistency in high quality colors and high impact, Sun Chemical launches SunColorBox colors, a "tool kit" that includes a complete set of applications and services to support packaging printers and converters in this field, in any place in the world and within a perfectly optimized digital process.

Lightweighting.
Sun Chemical offers a broad range of solutions to reduce the consumption of raw material, the costs of the supply chain, and nvironmental impact. Among them, the SunLam line, the family of lamination adhesives and coatings with high performance oxygen barrier properties, that the converter can use to reproduce the protective functionality of an additional layer with a reduced amount of material.

Against food waste.
Thanks to the proposal of functional coatings, Sun Chemical offers solutions to prolong the shelf life of food products, helping to prevent food waste: Sunbar (Aerobloc) oxygen barrier function coatings, but also DIC Easy Peel (an easy-open sealant film with high thermal resistance and strength), as well as SunLase™ laser marking, a coating that enables barcodes and high quality QR to be added to secondary packaging, and serial numbers and dates to primary packaging.

For the consumer experience.
This area will highlight the range of specially formulated SunInspire tactile inks and coatings, for a sensory packaging and for a different shopping experience.
Also on display the SunVetro product family for ceramics and glass as well as the SunCarte® line of inks, adhesives and coatings for screen printing and offset printing for the laminated plastic card market.

And on top of that…

In the Product Portfolio area Sun Chemical will be offering a wide range of solvent-based and solventless products: inks and coatings suitable for use on a variety of substrates for various packaging applications, regardless of the printing process.
