Wi-Fi in the store
Miroglio, international protagonist in the fields of fashion and textiles, has chosen the WLAN solution from Zebra Technologies to optimize data processes, integrating them into a single omnichannel mode workflow.
Miroglio has launched a project regarding all the structures of the group (the four buildings of its Alba headquarters, its Milan office and its entire network of stores), based on a Wi-Fi technology built by Zebra with AirDefense technology, which enables the design of new support services for store and customer experience management, with the inclusion of touch points like mobile POS, interactive totems and magic mirrors.
«We wanted to standardize the company communication throughout the supply chain - Luciano Manini, CTO of Miroglio Group adds - ensuring the quality of connection services and definitively resolving the problems that, over time, had led us to bind ourselves to different providers, with different contracts and band types. Before the intervention of Zebra Technologies, each store had a local software and a whole series of diversified devices and apparatuses that were difficult to manage. Today however we benefit from a single, centralized platform to manage the corporate portal, CRM, e-mail, commercial reports, press releases and management of attendance and payment slips, in addition to the entire document management process, that has been digitized for three years now».
The main features The Zebra Technologies system, designed and supplied by partner Teleservices of Turin, is highly modular and provides high levels of security, access and data exchange.
Concretely the AirDefense Services Platform allows you to control flows with a non-stop monitoring of the network and a new analytical intelligence, providing detailed reports updated in real time. Through a centralized dashboard the operator can view all status information and implement procedures for proactive intervention in case of anomalies. Configurations can also be customized and traffic prioritized based on a user and access profiling.
The outlets, connected by a WAN on which the provider has created a new Wi-Fi system, have been equipped with the latest generation AP 6521 access points that integrate the existing AP 5131s. The infrastructure is completed by rugged handhelds for the management and replenishment of stocks, and portable printer from Zebra Technologies to print the price on the tag, speeding up activities, especially during promotions.
AirDefense hence enables the control of wireless security and management of the WLAN infrastructure, offering a remote solution to the problems of connectivity.
The AP 6521 access point in turn maximizes network availability by deploying a central and preventive intelligence, which detects weak signals or those subject to interruptions and transfers - in safe mode – mobile users to alternative access points. In addition, it automatically fills in the gaps in radio coverage and ensures users uninterrupted access.
