Bosch Packaging Technology becomes Syntegon
Following the acquisition by CVC Capital Partners, announced in July 2019 and completed on 2 January this year, Bosch Packaging Technology has changed its name to Syntegon while maintaining its headquarters at Waiblingen, Germany and its status as an independent company.
With a focus on smart and sustainable technologies for the food and pharmaceutical industries, the company led by CEO Stefan König has announced that it will concentrate on mono-material flexible packaging, where possible replacing plastic with paper.
It will also make investments aimed at improving customer service and construction of a new technology centre.
Syntegon, which posted 2019 revenue of €1.3 billion and employs a workforce of 6,100 people across 15 countries, will make its debut at Interpack 2020.
