Nestlé Uzbekistan sells its water and dairy business to Lactalis

Nestlé Uzbekistan has sold its water and dairy business to French group Lactalis.

The deal includes the sale of two factories located in the Namangan region and subsequent licensing agreements with Lactalis for the production of several global Nestlé brands in Uzbekistan (Nesquik, Nido and Nestlé Pure Life).

The sale is part of the Swiss multinational’s plan to rationalise its business in the Uzbek market, where it will continue to supply confectionery, coffee and baby food.
