Numerous food multinationals have suspended operations in Ukraine
Numerous food groups have been forced to temporarily suspend their production activities in Ukraine amid the escalating conflict with Russia.
Carlsberg, the second largest brewer in Ukraine with a 31% market share, has halted operations at its two breweries, one in Kiev and the other in the southern city of Zaporizhzhya. Coca-Cola HBC and Mondelez have suspended their operations, while Nestlé has temporarily closed its factories, warehouses and supply chain in the country and advised employees to stay at home.
Danone has closed one of its dairy and plant-based product plants, while Bonduelle has halted production at its Russian site close to the Ukrainian border.
