Smurfit Kappa and Bidfood help vulnerable UK residents

Smurfit Kappa has been selected by Bidfood, a leading UK food service provider, to supply paper packaging for food parcels to be delivered to 1.5 million vulnerable people in the UK.

A fully dedicated team within the Smurfit Kappa Yate corrugated plant, supported by the Smurfit Kappa paper division and Downton Logistics, rose to the challenge to ensure Bidfood’s needs were met promptly.

The material was delivered to nine Bidfood depots in just three days from the order. The first deliveries of food parcels containing pasta, fresh fruit, milk and bread as well as items such as toilet rolls and shower gel have already been sent.
