Strategic US-China partnership for the development of projects in Uzbekistan

A tripartite agreement was signed recently between the governor of the Samarkand region, the US company GMFR Global Group and the Chinese holding company Beijing Huiyuan for the development of industrial projects in Uzbekistan.

The first step in the investment involves the construction of a new plant which will produce 20 million tons of packaged water, fruit juices and dairy products entirely for the export market. The cost of the necessary plant and equipment is estimated at $100 million.
