Packaging for Linea XT platform controls

What is it. The packaging is distinguished by an innovative design which elegantly shows the product. It consists of an internal structure which contains and protects the product against impact and a coated internal finish which preserves the surface of the device.

Manufacturing material. Vinciwhite 117 (350 g/m2 grammage) white/white cardboard made from recycled and FSC-certified material

Accessibility focus. The elegant opening allows quick access and removal of the product and the box can be reclosed without compromising the integrity of the case.

Technology. Printing with water-based inks and punching of straight cardboard for use on a manual packaging system.

Product and potential markets. Linea XT platform controls. The packaging contains home automation system controls (11 product codes use the same packaging) to control lighting, roller shutters, temperature management and scenario activation intended for Italy and foreign markets.

Design & Sustainability. The packaging is a Vimar project and is pre-glued to facilitate the packaging process. The purpose of the new packaging is to reduce the use of plastic/paper materials. The packaging for Vimar’s Linea series is made of Vinciwhite 117 coated cardboard made with recycled fibres. It is recyclable and printed with water-based inks. In addition, it is made entirely of FSC-certified recycled paper in order to minimise its environmental impact.
