RIGAM Engineering S.r.l. is a company specializing in the design and construction of machines and systems for the cosmetic industry. Its mission is to offer a design consistent with the most innovative production criteria and an integrated service, from consultancy to after-sales service, based on a deep knowledge of the needs in the sector, of products and process.

At Cosmopack 2022 RIGAM presents the MCMP_01, automatic machine for the transformation and production of cosmetic leads and automatic lip and eye pencils. It is characterized by a patented system for heating and cooling the mold without the use of air and water which allows a considerable reduction in cycle times and an increase in productivity of up to 50% compared to traditional systems (with the same cavity/mold and type of bulk).

The range of the company's machines is completed by the Powder Injection series (semi automatic machines for the transformation and production of pressed cosmetic powders with back injection and/or side injection technology) and by the Inkjet series (semi automatic machines for filling and assembling cosmetic ink pens). RIGAM machines, melting tanks and molds find application for all products cast from bulk, from fusion to latest generation packaging. For face, eyes and lips make-up the machines process lipsticks, lipbalms, lip glosses, foundations and concealers, pens and eyebrows.

More inclusive, sustainable, safe: how is the cosmetic product/packaging changing, also in the light of the new consumer trends, which focus on wellness and self-care?

«The cosmetic product/packaging is following, in recent years, a path of transformation: from a simple beauty product oriented towards aesthetics to a more "pharma" product, capable of guaranteeing well-being and psychophysical care. This is propagated in the supply chain of development and process even at the level of machinery design. The objective is to simplify and make production more flexible, using sustainable materials and focusing on energy savings during processing».

General supply difficulties, significant increases in freight rates, raw material and energy prices: how are you coping with these issues?

«As far as procurement, price increases and energy costs are concerned, we have focused on careful planning of purchases and choice of suppliers, with a shorter and faster chain. We have privileged Italian and European suppliers/partners».
