Nature MultiPack: an effective can packaging solution

Considering the growth of the “canned drinks” segment, the Spanish brewer Estrella Galicia has opted for Nature MultiPack, the smart solution developed by KHS, an ideal partner thanks to its long history and leadership in the market for the supply of brewery technology.

In its production site in la Coruña, KHS has, in fact, already installed five production lines for glass containers, beverage cans and drums.

Projects recently developed for the Spanish brand include a turnkey can line with a capacity of up to 72,000 containers per hour and two packaging machines: the Innopack Kisters Nature MultiPacker and the Innopack Kisters TSPP.

With the Innopack Kisters Nature MultiPacker for high-performance applications, the beverage containers are combined into packs of four or six cans without any film or cardboard, using only easily detachable gluing points. The same machine is key in an upgrade of an already existing KHS can line with a capacity of up to 60,000 cans per hour.

With the Innopack Kisters TSPP, equipped with a paper-wrapping module, 12 to 24 containers are bundled together with paper rather than with shrink film, guaranteeing precision along the entire packaging process both in the folding and in the gluing phases.

Both packaging machines offer optimised solutions using the least amount of material possible, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the process.
