DCM: serialisation and pharmaceutical traceability
In recent years, drug traceability has become a critical requirement, with the serialisation of pharmaceutical products now mandated by law. To address these new market challenges, DCM offers a comprehensive range of solutions.
Pharmaceutical companies are now required to adopt technologically advanced systems that guarantee efficiency, speed and regulatory compliance. This is where FK Codingline comes in – a solution developed by DCM to meet the latest industry requirements. It offers a complete system for coding and labelling folded cartons, using inkjet printing to apply a unique code. The configuration includes an automatic friction feeder, vacuum conveyor, rejection unit with collection tray, and an integrated scale at the outlet, making the machine ideally suited to the needs of the pharmaceutical sector.
Versatility and integration with vision systems
Thanks to its modular structure, the solution allows for quick commissioning and offers exceptional versatility, enabling different labelling methods to be adapted to specific production requirements.
To complete the proposal, DCM, in collaboration with Endeavour – EyeC, integrates the EyeC ProofRunner vision system. This high-resolution inspection module (up to 8k) with HighLight illumination ensures precise detection of defects down to 0.11 mm, even on complex decorative features such as holograms and embossed elements. Unlike glue-fold mounted systems, this solution does not damage the samples, allowing them to be reprocessed if necessary. With automated rejection and the final collection of compliant products, it ensures 100% print inspection and flawless quality, even for luxury packaging.
