Fedrigoni acquires Ritrama and strengthens its position in the Pressure Sensitive Labels segment
Specialising in the production of special papers for packaging, graphics and self-adhesive labels, the Verona-based Fedrigoni group has signed a contract for the acquisition of the Ritrama group, an Italian multinational self-adhesive products company with production sites in Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Chile and China.
The Rink family, founder of the Ritrama group, will retain ownership and management of the Ritrama business in North America, continuing the commercial collaboration with the rest of the group.
With this acquisition, the second since Bain Capital entered the Group’s capital, Fedrigoni strengthens its position in Europe in the Pressure Sensitive Labels sector, where it operates through the Arconvert and Manter brands. Its declared objective is to merge its excellence in labels for wine (of which it is the second largest global producer), for food, household and logistics, with the high technology applied to adhesive films by Ritrama, one of the world’s leading producers for pharmaceutical, beverage and personal care uses. Ritrama, through its graphics and industrial divisions, integrates the Fedrigoni Group’s offer in these reference markets.
The result is a major global player in the Pressure Sensitive Labels sector, where customers can find every solution for self-adhesive labels, both high-tech and aesthetic, with an extremely widespread and diversified range of products.
