Packaging beyond packaging...

Packaging, economy and society: the conference organized on May 3 by Confapi Industria Piacenza (sponsored by Confapi Nazionale, Istituto Italiano Imballaggio, UnionAlimentari, Regione Emilia-Romagna, the Municipality and Province of Piacenza and with the collaboration of Randstad) wished to analyse trends and challenges to create new packaging or re-use existing ones.

In addition to the intervention of experts, during the event awards went to the three winning videos of the “Repack” competition, curated by Anna Paola Cavanna, vice president of Laminati Cavanna SpA, president of the evaluation commission and newly elected president of the Istituto Italiano Imballaggio. As part of the “Repack” school-work alternation project, the students of two high schools of Piacenza were invited to create an innovative packaging and to document it through a film, which was examined by an evaluation committee.
