100% recyclable Nutella jar wins German Design Award and WorldStar Packaging Award

The 100% recyclable Nutella jar designed by MrSmith Studio (Milan) has won two prestigious international awards: the German Design Award 2019 and the WorldStar Packaging Award 2019 (UK).

The design impressed the juries for its effective response to global pollution as it is made entirely of glass, aluminium and paper, materials that can be recycled easily and with minimal environmental impact.

The plastic of the lid has been replaced with paper, and the label has also been eliminated as the ingredients and nutritional information are printed directly on the cap.
