Robopac, one global company
Internationalization, a local-for-local approach, strategic buy-ups: the growth of Robopac, which in recent years has implemented a series of actions as part of a highly ambitious development plan, continues.
An entrepreneurial line devised by the Aureli family and achieved with the precious contribution of the company’s management, that sets itself the goal of becoming the global reference for the supply of end-of-line machinery and combined solutions for packaging.
The agreement with Ocme, a historic Parma based company finalised in May 2017, should be read in this light: operating as a system by pooling one’s strongpoints, adding experience and expertise and attaining the required critical mass in order to better control the global market. Robopac and Ocme today have a total turnover of over 300 million euros, 1,400 employees (75% of which in Italy and 25% in the rest of the world), with the sale of more than 25,000 packaging and wrapping installations to their credit, 16 international offices, 9 production plants in Italy, Brazil, USA and China and more than 200 post sales assistance field engineers spread throughout the world.
As of last June Sotemapack, with a thirty-year history behind it, has also become part of the Robopac world: a new partnership that reinforces the range of solutions available to customers. Sotemapack - whose main shareholder is the De Martis family - has a turnover of around 10 million euros. As with Ocme’s Gatteschi family, here too the two families found a tally in terms of values, constituting a joint-venture. Robopac has become majority shareholder, while considering its partner’s contribution in terms of technological and commercial innovation as fundamental.
Lastly, at the beginning of the year Sacmi also chose Robopac as a partner to improve its end-of-line technological offer: in particular Sacmi Packaging solutions for various sectors such as Tissue, Food, Home and Personal Care and Beverage (end-of-line automations and handling of the finished product) have passed under the control and management of Robopac.
