Technology and civil behaviour
In Milan, a new road sign system identifying what has been called Area C, with traffic restrictions, communicating the restrictions on the circulation of private vehicles, aims to improve relations between the city authorities and the public.
It has been devised by Total Tool Srl and adopts signs that avoid "shouting" but that rather talk and interact, according to criteria of clarity and service. Technology has offered a substantial contribution: the advantages of digital printing have enabled the position of the various openings that give access Area C to be indicated on each sign; the application of fluoro-reflective films and diamond texture on the outer edge of the signs has improved the visibility of the same in all lighting conditions.
