Born in Quistello (MN) in 1953, Luciano Porta defines himself as a “professional in the Fine Arts sector”: ranging between painting, conservative restoration (in which he is specialised), decoration, the organisation of exhibitions and theatrical sets, he has defined his own identity in the deep mental connection between work and interiority. As a disseminator, he often holds conferences on art in elementary, middle and high schools.

He has several personal exhibitions to his credit, of which we can mention those organised at Palazzo Gallio (Gravedona, 1991), in Galleria Montenapoleone (Milan, 2000), at Arengario di Monza (2001), at Marina di S. Nicola (Rome, 2010), and to finish, with "Diari emozionali" hosted by Arte Elite (Lesmo, 2011).

He has also been featured in group exhibitions, receiving important recognitions: “Gran premio internazionale Torre dei Palagi" (1984, first prize); “Premio internazionale Città di Trivero" (1992); Verona Arte" (1998); “Art's Milano” (1999); “Spazio Lattuada” Milan (2004); “World Museum – the Cesano Maderno Contemporary Art Museum”, which requested one of his works (2008), just as one of his works is displayed at La Permanente Museum in Milan, in the Duilio Zanni Collection.

Besides being reviewed in art journals such as AD and Il Quadrato, he has been referred to in the newspapers and periodicals: il Borghese di Roma, Il Giorno, il Corriere della sera, il Cittadino and L'esagono.

In the words of the author

The vase is a symbolic container, linked to the Pandora myth: it represents what we can discover and what is inside us, in a daily game of alchemy.

I show precisely this in my work... Vases, mortars, stills or canopic jars are containers that I use to recreate an alchemical situation, filling them with an object, an impression, an idea... whether it is a simple twig or a more complex ray of light. With this, after having identified the object, I transfer its essence to the viewer of the work and to their soul. I then arrive at the “manifest secret” process of pure alchemy, in which to observe “intimate feeling” in a new way that leads to further spiritual wealth.
